Velocity Control Conveying
Velocity control conveying is a feature that regulates the speed of material flow in a conveying system. Our systems can be used on closed loop systems and is often beneficial when infeed rates vary.
Velocity Control Conveying Overview
- An additional feature to a pressure conveying line
- Often beneficial where infeed rates can vary
- Can be used on closed loop systems
- Reduced damage & degradation for fragile & friable products
- Auto-calibrates to lowest velocity
- Less dust; less waste, product quality maintained
- Can be fitted to existing pneumatic conveying lines
- Works at low pressure – no blow pots or pressure vessels
- For plastic products – elimination of ‘angel hair’; ‘snakeskin’; ‘birds nests’
- Low noise conveying lines during transfer
- Low power consumption, low air volumes, smaller blowers & filters
- Reduced wear on pipework, bends & in line valves, less maintenance
- Constant conveying velocity along the length of the pipe
- Applications: bread crumb, plastic granules, crisped rice, extruded cereals, petfood, wood pellets
