Abrasion Resistance
Abrasion is present in many aspects of powder handling processes and equipment.
We have extensive experience in the abrasive properties of many materials within specific applications.
Many factors affect the degree to which equipment is impacted by wear such as the duty cycle, configurations of pipework and chutes, speeds and nature of operation of mechanical equipment.
Abrasion Resistance Overview
We use a variety of techniques ranging from inclusion of ‘ABRO 400’ high manganese steels into fabrications such as: backs of bends, pneumatic conveying pick up boxes or screw conveyors, Chrome or Tungsten Carbide coating for castings and machinings.
Whole pipework bends can be sourced in ‘Ni-Hard’ or white iron.
Fitting and lining of fabrications with ceramic tiles or formed shapes.
Use of Basalt cores in a lobster back fabricated bend.
