Miscellaneous Applications Overview
Powder Pumping
- Some powders can be: conveyed using a modified double diaphragm pump
- When set up correctly, the pump will suck and deliver powders in a similar way to a liquid
- The materials which can be successfully conveyed using this method are generally low density and have free flowing or very free flowing properties
- Typical materials would be: fumed silica, glass bubbles, powdered carbon

Vacuum Conveying Systems
A basic vacuum conveying system uses a metering device at the inlet, a pipeline, receiver and exhauster.
