Controlled Air Speed Conveying

Special Features
- Pipelines: Heavy duty pipe for abrasive products; stainless steel for chemical
and food applications.
- Multiple Delivery Points: Diverter valves direct products to more than
one receiver; flap valves for normal products, plug valves for abrasive products.
- Check Weigh: Infeed sack tips. buffer hoppers and receivers can be placed
on load cells for assured transfer.
- Air Speed and Pressure Control: Constant air speed control is used for
fragile products and is achieved by controlling blower outlet air volume.
Pressure control is used to vary the speed of a rotary valve to maintain a
constant FEED RATE for varying DENSITY.
- Bends: Standard rolled pipe bends or abrasion resistant bends; fabricated
with special steel backing or lined with basalt or alumina; cast Ni-hard steel.
- Rotary Valves: These usually have a cast iron or stainless steel body with
a fabricated rotor. Options available include hard steel body linings and
rotor tips, food quality finishes and offset inlets.
- Hazardous Areas and Products: Precautions are taken where necessary; explosion
venting, special motors, earth bonding.
